Palm Coast Democratic Club Leadership


Get to know our Leaders:

Mike: Michael Cocchiola, President  a former senior executive in the Department of Defense providing expertise in strategic and organizational planning to the local Democratic Party. I’ve directed organizations from 100 to 23,000 employees. I entered the private sector after retirement from the Department of Defense and served in executive positions with major management consulting firms. I consulted with public and private organizations to help them develop strategic and operational plans, organize to achieve those plans, create brand images and market their capabilities.

I’ve also served in the following ways:

  • Twice commodore of the Flagler Beach Yacht
  • Two-time president of the Flagler County Corvette Club and current president of the Flagler Bulls Investment Club. Built each club into the most successful of its kind in Flagler County.
  • Worked on the two Obama campaigns and the Clinton campaign as well as supporting local democratic candidates.

Mary Lou: Mary Lou Keener, Vice President In addition to my role as Vice-President of the Palm Coast Democratic Club position, I also serve on the Flagler County Democratic Executive Committee as State Committee Woman to represent Flagler County at the Florida Democratic Party. I also serve on the State Democratic Party Legislative Committee, and am the Flagler County Precinct 31 Captain. Before retiring and moving to Palm Coast in 2005, my professional degrees in nursing and law provided her with unique cross-functional expertise and experience in law, healthcare, and executive management. I am a Navy Vietnam Veteran, and a Retired Colonel USAFR. I worked as a staffer on Capitol Hill, practiced law for several years in Atlanta, GA., and was honored to be nominated by President Clinton, and confirmed by the US Senate, as the General Counsel of the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have received many awards, and appointments to Boards, Commissions and Committees..

Viviane: Viviane Lindeolsson, Treasurer became Treasurer in 2017 and am keeping a tight purse for the Club. I have been a Democrat since 1984, the year I became a US Citizen. I grew up in Waterloo, Belgium. Before moving to Florida 14 years ago I also lived in Paris, Stockholm, and New Jersey.I was an IT consultant before retirement and subsequently traveled with my husband all over the USA in a motor home for almost 3 years before moving to Palm Coast where I picked up mechanical and antique clock repair. I became active in politics when joining the OFA campaign and never looked back. I have been involved in planning most Democratic fund raisers and events in Flagler County.

JillJill Augustensen-Scott, Director of Marketing & Communications business school graduate, currently the Flagler County Democratic Executive Committee Office Manager, Precinct 27 Committeewoman, Palm Coast Democratic Club Director of Membership & Communications and Flagler Democratic Women’s Club member.  A life long Democrat, 30 year retiree from Florida Power and Light Company also served as an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Officer, Organizer and Job Steward.  Originally from New Jersey, an animal advocate, former Flagler Humane Society Board Member and currently, Fundraiser for Blue Moon Cat Sanctuary.

Gail: Gail Danoff, Secretary currently stands as Flagler County Democratic Party, Precinct 20 Committee Woman. I led Vote by Mail activities in my precinct, worked for Democratic candidates and continued daily through the GOTV effort in 2016. I was deeply involved in the organization of our club in 2016.

Originally from Saginaw Michigan, I love Palm Coast and I have been involved with several service organizations, here. I worked with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Palm Coast Duplicate Bridge Club in the past. I now limit my activities to our Rise and Shine Team at the Sheltering Tree cold weather shelter, and the Flagler County Democratic Party.
